Can We Call This Off Now?

Check the latest results on http://www.kast1370.com/ as of this morning's poll change.

I put a simple question about recalling Commissioner Ann Samuelson on line after the show and as of 7:45 this evening the results show 74% against the recall.

To be perfectly honest it's just a quick poll. It's not scientifically designed. I would point out though that past KAST on line polls have been a very good barometer of public thinking on critical topics.

I encourage you to log on and cast your vote. The poll ends Monday.

Then we'll post a poll dealing with Jeff Hazen.

Just keep in mind that if you sign one of those recall petitions it looks at this point that you will be contributing to an effort that will result in loss of revenue to all of us just running an election like this during some of the toughest times we've seen in many years. If you don't like these people can't it wait until the next regular election?

The only reason I can think of for staging this whole recall strategy would be the hope that just by having the election the anti-LNG minority in this county will use it for political gain trying to show that they are larger than they really are once again.

It's so dishonest there should be a law against it.

  1. i say let it roll. it's about as close to an LNG vote as we are going to get.

This time there is no grey area. a vote for the recall is obviously a vote against LNG. a vote against the recall is obviously for LNG.

after all, there are no other issues besides LNG. it is all that matters.

gotta go now. have to contribute to society tomorrow so i can continue to pay property taxes to support more recalls.

  2. Baloney!

    Come on Tom!

    Get real my man!

Such an insult to all of us in this community for you to assume we are all so naive and stupid as to think that most of us don't already know that these polls you and I put on are bogus and corruptable as all get out and are totally worthless.

Looks to me that a Samuelson supporter has been at a computer somewhere all day erasing Temporary Files, Site Histories and Cookies to make certain this Commissioner gets the edge, as unbelieveable as it appears, and phoney votes she feels she needs to convince us her support is genuine.

Yes you are right in that you can only present this kind of poll on an honor system but really, does anybody in politics have any of that stuff in the first place especially, when you can vote as often as you wish if you know how to do it?

    Free votes?

    As many as you want?

    Hell yeah!!!

This has nothing to do with the "will of the people"....these people have created a religion around their lies about LNG and now they seem to want to drag the old dead horse issue of the DA's stipend into it since they probably can't win on the LNG scare they've done their best to create. If you drive by the petition gathering spots you'll notice that the who's who of this movement are those that have either been replaced on commissions, can't win a race of any kind, and some of them have come out against others in our community before in very negative, and untruthful ways...it's just what they do. Rumor has it that Larry Taylor, chair of the democratic party here is having a "sign the petitions" party at his house. I bet Samuelson or Hazen throw a much better party than he does!

So sick of these anti LNGers and their lies....I've taken to confronting them everytime one of them approaches me and I tell them just exactly what I think of them and their style of politics. Also, I've noticed that the majority of them have lived here five years or less or arent even from here. Believe me, I am probably the last person in this area that cares one iota what some California transplant who's just moved here thinks about anything.

    Rumor has it?
Richard Lee was recalled for his arrogance and if you treat the people like children you will get kicked out of office.
IF there is a recall it won't be just LNG.

    g

Did you get the second paragraph backwards? Or am I reading it wrong?

Everyone against the recall should go to the
Commissioner's Meeting Tuesday night (check the date and time)....get there early if you want a seat....I think it will be a room full of anti LNGers.

Recall is wrong, save it for the ballot box. Please show up to support our Commissioners, they will certainly appreciate a friendly face, rather than the usual angry, rude mob. We can spend months and $$$$$ recalling everyone who they think is "against" them. The county has more business to attend to than RECALL and LNG.

The Silent Majority Needs to Stand Up and Be Counted

I do hope everyone noticed Patrick McGees comments above about polls. It may or may not be true about other polls, but for McGee to say it about his poll certainly shows his polls are bogus and worthless. Thus, no one should pay attention to them (or McGee for that matter). As for recall, most certainly the law allows the people to recall elected officials who do not act in accordance with the views of the majority. The question is really whether or not the people should attempt recall, not whether we can or not. It's and adult vs child thing.
