I'm assuming here that the President's intention was the second definition of the word.
Three top picks for three top posts, all three had skipped paying federal taxes. Two withdrew but one was actually confirmed sending a clear message to the people.
I'm pretty happy about the new Treasury Secretary. I'm thinking he'll have a pretty casual attitude and that wouldn't be a bad thing for someone who will be overseeing that very complicated Internal Revenue Service. Right?
I believe the President was right when he called out the despicable behavior of workers on Wall Street for making billion dollar bonuses at a time when the economy is less than perfect. The President said "..there will be a time for bonus and profits. Now is not the time"
What I want to know now about these wall street capitalists is whether or not they are paying their taxes. Luckily, President Obama has come up with the perfect way to find out.
All we do is nominate the wall street bad guys to top posts in the President's administration and wait for them to admit something because they know the press is on their heels.
At the very least the President's vetting process has been a great little fundraiser for the government as the people that were going to be running the country are forced to make back payments plus penalties. Way to go!!!
