How Will Money Issues Fair?(or is that FARE?)
With the economy dominating the news how will local voters decide where to spend money on government services on November 4th?
Clatsop Community College is asking for 5 million, Warrenton has measures to support police and fire services which combined would ask voters for a little over 3 million, Gearhart is looking for around a half million for a new fire engine and another 750 thousand for fire related items.
Each of these measures would provide much needed improvements or continue support for existing positions over a period of several years. While it's true that most would say these things are very important to the safety of the community or taking advantage of a very good opportunity to rebuild the college, I wonder how those concerns will balance out against fears over the economy and an opportunity to control the growth of property taxes?

"Fair," or fare?
The vote is in for me "no." The College was and is not fully truthful with the rebuilding process. The news report your airing supports this. The Astoria city council should of kept their mouth shut for a change.
One word concerning the college and their continued quest to fleece the county..."NO!"
