What The Heck??

I've been reading the investigative report on the Bunch/Lee incident and I'd like to share a few things with you about the report. It was written by a Portland lawyer who has been hired by the County on two other separate occassions to investigate staff allegations against Richard Lee.
The report is composed of interviews that were conducted with all the involved parties. A few interesting things crop up.

Let's look at the now famous Lynda Lee " Fire That Bitch!" phone call to Ed Wegner. In separate interviews Ed details what happened, then Lynda has her turn, Richard is then interviewed. According to the planner Jennifer Bunch, Lynda Lee leaves the planning office around 4:40pm. Phone records indicate that was about the time that Ed Wegner returns a cell phone call to Richard and Richard says to him "We had a problem with planning today, you need to talk to Lynda" and hands the phone over to her.

Lynda tells the investigator that she doesn't remember if Richard placed the call to Ed. She doesn't remember much of what she said..She says Richard might not have been there for the whole conversation. She says he may have gone to the bathroom, or something. But in his interview Richard says he was there the whole time because they were both in the car. This begs the question: where did he go to the bathroom? Richard says his wife never told Ed Wegner to fire Jennifer Bunch..He heard the whole conversation and says Lynda never said anything of the kind.

Lynda Lee tells the investigator she never yells, even though Ed said she was so loud coming over the phone he had to hold the receiver away from his ear. Ed's wife told the investigator separately from Ed that she could hear the noise coming out the phone across the room where she was sitting. . Lynda admits to telling Ed that Bunch was "cranky" with her. The call was seven minutes long. If she wasn't busy screaming and telling Wegner to do his job properly he needed to fire Bunch because she's "stupid", what was she taking his time with exactly? If the Lee's were in their car making this call and Richard left to find a bathroom, he's a better man than I am because he would have had to find a facility, take care of business and get back to the car in time to yell "Get well Ed!" at the end of the call. The logistics of such a feat are staggering.

So it seems that Richard and Lynda drove down to the county planning department. Richard
waited as Lynda went in to apply for a modification to a structure she could not clearly prove was on the RV Park or the "red flagged" golf course and set a land speed record for cell phone dialing to get Wegner on the phone to complain about Bunch and demand that Bunch be fired because she insisted the Lee's comply with the land use laws that affect their property.

It must be a conspiracy. Somehow.
